Keyless Entry

Can someone enlighten me ? I am walking towards my car , keys in hand / in pocket , I press a little button on the key and " hey presto , the car opens. Why the hell would I want to reach into my pocket , unlock my phone , two handed - one to hold it and one to open with fingerprint, press the app button , I assume it's only one press, so that I can unlock the car WTF.
You’re thinking like someone who has always used a key. NFC is so that you don’t need to carry the key.

The key is simply a way of making sure that only an authorised person can unlock and start the car. Your phone or watch can now do it.

For those of us with a smart watch It makes a lot of sense.

Ah well, grandad I am. Didn't realise you don't actually need a key to start it. How smart has my watch got to be ? I've got a few VERY smart watches , does it need to be as smart as a Rolex or will an top end Tissot watch be OK. :)

If your Rolex or Tissot has NFC then it could work.

No, no code.
