Hi all,
I have 2017 Eclass 220d diesel with 86000 miles on clock. Engine have started making loud knocking noise for 3 to 4 seconds on cold start then it goes away. Car has full service history and I also serviced the car recently but the knocking noise is still there on cold start for few seconds.
Does anyone knows a good mechanic who deals with Merc engines issues in Dudley West Midlands side?
Thanks.

Hey. How it is going? Have you solve this problem? I noticed I have exactly the same problem. I don't know for how long because you can only hear while you are outside the car. Some says that is kinda normal until the oil reaches the head of the pistons, but not sure. Any update will be great! Thanks a lot!

Hi, the knocking noise has gone away itself. I think it was because of very cold weather. But if your noise doesn’t go away after few seconds or keep on continue even after engine warm up or driven for sometime. Then you should consult with Mercedes specialist.
