Applied Lanoguard to the school shed which is used for local runs and ferrying little people.

Took fresh photos today and as you can see the product is dripping wet. Will upload some photos next week, hopefully should dry by then. And then revisit in a year's time to see how the product fairs and provide an honest feedback 👍

Looking good. Be interested to see how it looks in a few days. Can I ask how much you used of the 2L container for coverage?

So, I have applied to all 3 cars, sprayed very generously front and rear subframe and suspension components, getting as much areas covered and I only have about an 1" of product left in the bottle.

If used for 1 car, I think should be able to get about 3 applications, so can get 3 years of protection out of a 2 litre bottle.

Each car took 20 minutes, i packed up with within half an hour. The product does smell a tiny bit, reminds me like being in a farm but it does disappear within a few days.

In terms of application, it's very easy to apply, not much mess apart from the odd few drips of overspray that could fall onto the driveway and some spray splash on the face and spectacles.

Will post some further photos 👍

In the plus side, your spectacles are now rust proof for another year :D

Good job and great pics ! You saved yourself a few quid by DIY , on eBay the service to do it for you is £675

I believe the high cost is due to the preparation of the vehicle before applying the treatment, not just spending 20 minutes applying it. In some cases removing covers and wheel arch linings

Great to have a "true life unbiased verdict".

Great looking job badgx, did you have to wash the underside first or was it already remarkably clean.?

TBH, it was a fairly newish car to start with, so it didn't require any precleaning or hosing down of loose mud. Was fairly straight forward process, the smell has now gone too so I suspect it's cured. Will take some photos at the weekend 👍

Talking about lanoguard, I found this while searching for rustproofing, seems to be very similar to lanoguard but much cheaper, wondered if anyone has used it?

Wont be surprised if it is the same kind of stuff, worth trying as both seem to refer to Lanolin, which I think might be the actual ingredient 👍

Which would explain why it smells of sheep!

It's been a week now so revisited and took some photos. The product has cured to a mat coating and the smell has gone too. Some surface rust areas seem to have slightly darkened and subframe is now looking confident. I'll visit again for some photos in a year's time. 👍20231007_165236.jpg20231007_165218.jpg20231007_165207_1.jpg20231007_165241.jpg20231007_165231.jpg

Looks like it leaves a nice finish 👌

Thank you Sir, hope it stay like last 🙂
