It's that time again when I spend too long with Excel

Total Miles 12209
Fuel Cost £2271.57
Ave per Lit 1.4162
Litres 1603
Gallons 353
Actual MPG 34.53
Ave Speed 30.8
Comp MPG 42.08 (it lies)
Total Hours 397

Ins, Tax & Maint £1500
It was a bad year for parts. Too many needed although only 2 tyres so next year won't be good either.

Cost ppm 31p
with depreciation @15% 44p
and finance 51p

How sad am I !!!!

Isn't it strange how almost all car computers seem to be too optimistic when calculating mpg.

Anyone know of one the other way round?

My old BMW 120d was 3-4 mpg pessimistic until I re-calibrated it. You would hunk manufactures build them to be optimistic as it makes them look better.

Yes... there was a faint air of sarcasm with my post.

I imagine hardly any are accurate / pessimistic and then the unachieveable figures from manufacturers don't seem so far off...

Not that I'm cynical or anything.
