What a nightmare went to put the nearside window down and nothing. Seems like it is the motor as the diagnosis included.

Pressing the switch without engine running - Relay could be heard
Checking the fuse.
Removing door card and wiring connector from motor.
Connecting multimeter to connector and pressing switch. Multimeter gave positive & negative reading as expected for up and down.

So in conclusion all fuese ok, power getting to motor. The only thing left is the motor itself.

Well it is covered on the warranty. Just the inconvenience of another day without the car.

Thankfully nothing serious. Just a dodgy connection. Could really kick myself though after how far I tested it myself. Still allwork not got charge £16.75 by the garage and the car was washed.

Thanks again to Burton Motor Workshop, what a great bunch of guys.

A small tip.....
never use a multimeter, especially a dmm to check for the presence of a voltage, as the impedence of these is so high that they will pick up any stray voltage.
Always use a test light, which will draw a little current. this will show that there are no bad connections.

a multimeter is great for measuring voltages though (charge voltage etc)
