Hi there...
I own a s204 and love it,
I have recently bought these 2x H7 80W CREE LED Super Bright Fog Tail Driving Head Car Light Lamp Bulb Reliab | eBay
was only £12 for the pair, so thought why not try it out.
Have had HID's on all my previous cars and think HID's put out plenty light.
But when I plug them in, they come on briefly shut off and back on again for 2 seconds and thats it.
Message comes on in dashboard dipped beam not working
Any one who can help?
cheers

Your car needs can bus capable ones to work.

I can't see them being much cop to be honest, they are around 20% lower light output than many Osram halogen bulbs and hardly any more than a standard H7 bulb.

They even say....

'For replacement of Signal, Turn, Brake, Parking, Tail, DRL and Fog lights, etc.'

Welcome to the forum btw!

The beam pattern will be complete trash! The headlamp reflector/projector is designed to have a bulb with a point source filament (as near as damn'it), throw them away or send them back.

You need to put a resistor across the wires, email the company and they will more than likely send you a free one, it will take 10 minutes and they will tell you what to do, then they will work and not have a warning

You will wish you hadn't tried.
Poor light output, terrible beam pattern killing what little light they do put out and a need to defeat the bulb failure circuit are the reasons.
Having said that I think that the above issues are being sorted but it would cost around £200 to get the bulbs and circuitry.

Ok cheers for your answers not going to bother with them...
HID's again then :)

Put it this way, Hella/Osram have spend the last decade testing and developing usable LED headlights that can last for I'm guessing at least 10 years.

Fitting LEDs for numberplate lights or sidelights is fine, but relying on aftermarket ones as your main headlights - the most important safety feature at night is asking for trouble. That's before you even get onto the subject of light patterns etc
