Can anybody confirm for me that the left hand door mirror is supposed to automatically tilt downwards to see the rear n/s wheel when reverse is engaged? I'm sure I have read that this is a feature but mine does not do it.

CLK 55/05 270d Auto.

We have the older CLK (w208 series) and it certainly does on ours, i can't see a reason why it wouldn't have been carried over to the w209 series ....

for this to work, you have to select the passenger door mirror button on the rear view mirror switch panel

you should have two buttons that determine which mirror the control to adjust the electric mirrors operate - you need to have the one for the passenger door mirror pushed in. then the mirror should dip when you select reverse if you have this function

This will only work with FULL electric memory seats as indicated on your door with the 1,2,3 knob.

Thanks everybody , cracked it! :bannana:
