Nothing to do with EU. Just a stoopid rebranding by some twerp at Dept of.. .. ...

Because GB does not include Northern Ireland and they were annoyed about that....UK does.

Driven all over Europe for 30+ years, never used a GB/UK sticker, never been mentioned when pulled over or at customs etc.

Interesting. I hadn't checked the regulations, I just was going by the fact that there are a few cars round my way with them and they all look huge. Maybe I'm not used to seeing them as for years we've had the discrete side badge on the number plate.

Out of curiosity, I've been doing a bit a reading, about the S65 like yours, the numbers are astonishing, from the price, the power and
performance figures, considering it's a BIG car, over 2 tons, the performance is staggering, what a motor! Looking forward to reading about it, in your ownership.

Even though it has a very big engine, I still find it crazy that such a heavy car can have this kind of performance. I wonder what the performance would have been like if they had made it a four wheel drive like they did for the American market [ S550 and S63AMG's only ]

I haven't done many miles since I picked the car up so can't really comment. I'm hoping to go on a few long trips this yea. I owned an S600 W221 before. Not an AMG car but the performance was still very impressive.
