Hi every one, I purchased a 2018 Mercedes E Class 220d the other month, the chap I purchased it from told me that the speedometer setting needed to be recoded to show miles and not km. As when you go into settings and change the default setting (which in my case is km) to miles, and then turn the ignition of and leave the vehicle for a couple of hours and when you turn on the ignition the mileage has reverted back to km.

Took the car to MB, they say that the car needs a replacement part behind the dash board and the cost including labour is £3000.

If anyone has further information regarding this problem or fault and would like to add to this post I would be most grateful.

Have you found a solution? My 2019 E450 is doing thr same, but I'm in the US so the display needs to STAY in mi, not km. Dealership is acting like they've never seen this problem.

Comand UK will probably know the answer, they're not near you but if they can save you the bulk of the £3,000 cost then it may well be worth the journey down south:
