Loss of power

One last problem to post on: On my 2000 (W plate) Vito it doesnt seem to be going over 3000 RPM, and in 5th is 65MPH!!! So got to be staying in the bottom lane!!! Also doesnt pick up like it should, its a 108 CDI if thats of any help.

We have had this problem with our Vito's from time to time. If you open up the bonnet and look towards the rear, just under the windscreen there is a black rubber tube that sometimes comes away from it's location, just push it back on, it's quite self explanitory when you see it but I can't give you a better description as I can't remember

Right, ive just been outside looking for this pipe, and couldnt find it whatsoever, any other pointers, but noticed whilst out there, with the van on and the bonnet open, saw a little bit of black smoke coming from the engine, under the cdi cover... got me thinking now, what could this be?

Leaking injectors.
