Was just on my way to pick my daughter up when suddenly the car would just rev up and so I managed to roll off onto a slip road to a safer place...... abs no idea what’s caused this this time ??? Can’t see any sign of fluid leak, was nothing I noticed on the drive when I left ??? Getting recovered bk home atleast and then 1st thing I will do I check the trans with the dipstick...... I gave the car some bolt last night coming home from work and it drove fine apart from couple injectors still need tightening slightly... and then this morning it decides once again, to be a bar steward !! Damn it lol

Ment to mention that s/w mode changes along with the gear stick moves up/ down from p-d but won’t engage any gear, not even semi auto ???..... could it be the TC has failed totally ??

Got recovered and the bloke said “just try your gears now”. Well bugger me, the bloody gears work again ??? So I’m guessing a fluid/ pressure issue ?? As above, will check the level when the rain stops 🙈

Sounds like will change engage gear when cold but not when warmed up which from what I’ve learnt must be down to low fluid lever causing lack of pressure to the solenoids....

Glad your sorted 😊 Don’t worry about lack of replies, most of my days are spent talking to myself and the dog....which I don’t have

Lol I talk to myself ALL THE TIME mate 🤣.... well I’m now going to check the trans level, wish me luck 🤣🙈

Just for the record, isn’t there any warning system to alert you your fluid is getting low ?? 🤔

When was your last ATF service ? Sounds like it could do with one.

Lol it’s been changed 3 times in the last year due to different issues.....

Well engine s only up to approx 60-65c and already no gear engagement.......

fluid is spot on to my surprise and, it’s just engaged gears at running temp, then wouldn’t, then engaged again but now wont atall. So which solenoid is at fault ??

I forgot I plugged my diagnostic in whilst I was waiting for recovery and I’m trying to remember what it said ? Something like “transmission control imperissable ratio” ??

Diagnostic had another flip but says ESM (f1) ?? Uploaded a photo but wouldn’t let me edit size so hasn’t posted

So is it likely to be the gearbox ECU or the gear selector unit ??

Gear selector unit doesn't cause u to loose drive , if you mean the shifter.

Something within the transmission could be at fault.

Wasn't it you that had a sudden leak and lost all his transmission fluid before?

Yea the pipe on the front of the radiator had uncoupled itself and leaked all the fluid out...... a set of new solenoids then ?

The car just literally lost its gears today and I had to roll onto the slip road and I also noticed would only rev to approx 1500 rpms like it went into safe mode.... shifter would move freely as did S/W mode but in D would semi change up/down..... by time I was recovered home I could drive car bk on the drive. Full of fluid (80c) on the stick...... then car would engage gear then not then engage and then not..... bet if I went out now it would engages gears for a short while........ the current solenoids are used but where in good condition but could well be them or one of them that’s the issue ?? Wouldn’t be the trans ECU would it ??

In control units/ transmission it was “implaussable gear ratios” and in quick test it came up ESM (f1). ??

It’s odd because I gave the car some hammer Friday night from Notts but gears where super responsive and car drove really well then it breaks down today..... starting to wonder if fluid has blown thru past the o ring or something under the pressure..... will be under the car tomorrow as soon as my daughter is collected by her mum....
