Lowered the E55/plus stage1 upgrade

Hello,




What are the performance figures of it? I've ben lucky enough to have a few rides in my ex boss's E55 Estate and it felt silly quick, the speedo went round as quick as my bmw (at the time 330's) rev couter.

I cant give exact figures yet as you need a drag strip to test a 1/4 mile or similiar,But what i can state is that the s/charger is now running close to 1.5 bar psi as opposed to 1.1 and my butt impressions are that the stage 1 has really transformed the car, it just feels so so much quicker than what it was its like its got 2 engines now thats how much of a difference its made.Apart from the graph ill post tomorrow, there will also be a comparisson video coming shortly against a 996tt thats had an ecu upgrade so stay tuned.

Sounds good this upgrade! when my turbo got chipped, not to phase 1 or phase 2 or 3 but to phase 3.5, it deffornatley feels like you say " two engines" but mine feels like 3 engines over the stock!! LOL

Drove Andy's car when he bought it and thought it was quick, drove it again today after the mods and i must say what a difference the pulley does! the thing is stupidly quick, you seem to run out of road, and i was on the motorway!!

i shall be with him at the dyno, should be interesting

sadly not i have a clk63amg in metalic blackgreen...wish it was, its a friends car thats a clk dtm £285000 worth i dont think the missus would let me spend that much on 1 car....

The car looks great as it is , but with the 19"s on each corner that will set it of just fine . I think that the big star may work with the new shoes.... so why not try it and let us have a look see.

I just joined the ///AMG gang on Friday after buying a mint E55 AMG EST.... and i am still buzzing on it... she flys 'o so sweet'... i am in love again...

So with the mods that you have done to yours ... you must be grinning from ear to ear every time you get near it .....Well done mate, would like to see the vids also...

You been to this event before Maff ? Ifso any recomendations as to what kind of preps the cars will need ie tyre presures etc ??? or any other suggestions that might help a little.

Give the tyres a visual once over when there (you dont want problems at those speeds).

Other than that, get round the bottom bend as fast as you can!

Might have to come along again myself some time. Reckon there are a few more digits to be had on my top speed at least in tactics alone. With a few more BHP and a cold day, I know there is more to come!

It's a great day, you will love it. I tended to let the other car get to the bends first and then I knew I could use all of the track getting around the bend.

Looks fantastic...but I'm with the guys on this one, lose the big star, replace it with a satin black one.
