i've had a good look at the chart but it doesnt help much with this Q.

i've got myself some 18x8.5 W140 coupe rims for my 2001 C-class, these are a ET47 and dont actually turn on the front but im not sure how far i need to space them out.

the face of the rim is nicely inline with the body already so i dont really want to go more than 10mm

Tyres will be a slightly streched 225/40 back and front if it makes any odds

Looks like the range used by tuners (Brabus/Carlsson) is between 28mm and 30mm, so going up to a 47mm is a big increase.

The W140 wheel will be between 17mm and 19mm closer to the suspension than the same size wheel recommended by those tuners for the W203.

I think 10mm will be the very smallest spacer - possibly more. I'd suggest finding a wheel specialist who has a range of spacers you can try.

Not sure on the 203 but on my 210 the gap between the rear of the tyre and the top suspension strutt arm is approx 10mm so be careful.

Look at the top of this section there is a link to a good wheel/tyre check sheet.

has anyone seen these rims fitted to a W203 before?

Not dissimilar to AMG Style II
