M113 / m119

Something i learnt today,

I thought a 211 e500 was a m119 quad cam engine, same as a r129. Didn't actually realise it was a m113.

So what's the difference between a 211 e500 / e55 other than the charger and the extra displacement? enginewise or is it just that?

Also did/has anyone supercharged a m119.

Hi,
Only difference between M113 500 engine and the 55k is essentially exactly as you say bigger displacement and the charger.
The R129 also had M113 engines fitted from around 97ish I think.
The M119 engine never got a charger from MB and to be honest I haven't heard of one in the aftermarket though I sure I have read about a car with a M119 that had twin boot mounted turbos.

Lotec, Koenig, Albrex all did charger kits for the 119.
