chain slipping on fuel pump sprocket mercedes sprinter 312d
Fitted new head gasket, in doing so removed the tensioner also the compressor housing, the engine starts but for some reason the pump sprocket has slipped each time i have taken the compressor housing off reset it and the next thing the chain has slipped again, I am not sure should the pump sprocket be loose as mine is, with the compressor casing off and the tensioner fully in i can turn the sprocket with the ratchet. Can anyone help.
