Matt Black

I once saw a 2005 Mustang in matt black at a GTG, it looked amazing, must be a car/model thing.

Here it is, I had to take it off a video :( I took there.
It's in the mid shot.

Mallory, last year.

I have a van that the previous owner had a wrap on. When they took the wrap off they must've used a knife to get at parts of it to pull it off (invisible when I bought it). Now I've got teeny tiny slivers of rust appearing where these cuts were done.

Now this is fine on my 54 plate VW LT van that I only ever seem to use for taking garden rubbish to the tip, but I'd be mighty careful buying a nice car that had been wrapped.

I'm guessing that the wrap on my van was taken off by a muppet hence the scratches but still, inspect carefully say I !

Grief there's always an idiot who brings dampens down the tone of a good thread isn't there ;-) Sorry.

funnily enough, I saw a matt black R8 the other weekend and yes, it doesn't look right but a matt black Gallardo does look fantastic.

seen a few wrapped matt black cars, cant see the appeal really, i like mine to shine when the suns out!

I wonder what my W124 would look like? Any photoshoppers want to have a go at a later W124 Saloon?

A question for the 9 posters so far who have chosen to spell matte as "matt".

Why are you spelling matte "matt"?

In fact nobody on this thread so far has spelt it "matte".

As far as I'm aware matt means a non shiny finish and matte (originally derived from matt) refers to a process in film making (now superceded by digital technology)?
At least this is the more commonly accepted understanding (unless you are American?)
