Have driven a LHD one in stuttgart, the owner had done the transplant 5 weeks before I drove it. It wasn't very quick at all, certainly not as quick as a 2.6 petrol. He was planning modifications to bring the power up to around 200bhp. I lost contact with him and don't know how he got on.

That aside, it looks like a clean car and if drives half as well as it looks, then it's probably worth every penny.

That exposed intercooler would worry me on uk roads, let alone smashing it to shreds on a speed bump or kerb.

A turbo diesel 190 is a pretty apealing prospect though.

Well spotted! I hadn't noticed that, it is very exposed.

I love the general look though and the wheels suit the car well, I do have a soft spot for all of the late 80's early 90's Mercs
