MB-4 installation.

Hi guys and gals.
I have bought a new MB-4 adaptor for my 2006 A Class. I have removed the old 6230i cradle but the mb4 won't slide onto the connector fully to engage the clip. The green light comes on but the screen is just fuzz so obviously not connecting properly. I don't want to force it. Any ideas, experience or suggestions gratefully received. Regard, Jeff.

Try pressing the release catch as you slide it onto the UHI.

If it still wont fit and/or you still get a fuzzy screen, send it straight back and we will replace it without question.

In fairness, I will try tomorrow to find another merc with phone prep just to make sure it's not my connector but the old phone cradle pops on and off easily. Bloody annoying as I'm in Spain so gonna be a lengthy process of return. Regards, jeff.
