MB Paint Finsh on Wheel

Can anyone please tell me the name of the paint finish and if possible the paint code that is on the W203 Electra alloys wheels? It is a shiny bright silver finish but matches with the standard silver painted chrome centre caps. MB part number for the front wheels is B66472120 if it helps. I cannot remember the offical MB name of the paint finish on the standard chrome silver centre caps either.

Reason why I ask is because a friend of mine wants her alloy wheels on her sporty Peugeot 307 to be refurbished in the same finish as the Mercedes W203 Electra alloy wheels as on my car. The refurb is due to take place on Friday so a quick response would be much appreciated.

Not sure what the paint code hopefully someon else knows. I think that some wheel refurb places call it 'Sterling Silver', others simply match it as Mercedes Silver.

Its called ''Standard Silver Finish'', not a paint code as such, per the MB alloy wheel book.

If I was having my wheels refinnished I would go for one of the chrome paints, MB are using them now, though I do not like some of the black chrome that they use, still it depends on the colour of the car.

My center caps have a gold star on a chrome background

What would the finish be on my AMG Style IV (C32 AMG) - am I right in thinking it's Sterling Silver?

Also I heard that they're lazer finished at the factory which isn't possible during refurbishing - any truth to this?

Yes your AMG's would be sterling silver. I had my new Styling IIIs refinshed in Black Chrome (not as bad as it sounds!) and went for the Black Roadster centre caps, finishes the wheels off nicely.
