Hi all, looking at an aproved used ml at mb reading, anyone used them before and if so any feedback please?

No, but it is my local so I suppose at some point in time I will need to visit there...hopefully not before the service though.

I visited MB Ascot a while back which is actually located at the back end of Bracknell depending which direction you are coming from. The sales guy was really nice and he said all their cars are prepared at Reading before being put on the forecourt at Ascot.

Just make sure you keep your eye's open when dealing with them and don't get sucked in with the schmooze.

Like everywhere there are good and bad points.....the bad one I had, was when the poor old boy next to me purchased a 2010 C Class Coupe from them. Being a used car from Mercedes he didn't bother to check the car over. Anyway it came with 4 months MOT (can't believe they would sell a car with just 4 months MOT).

Took it to them for an MOT 4 months later and only 500 miles covered and the car failed on front lower ball joint, tyre below minimum and a sticking caliper which they expected him to pay for and then told him the car would need a service......total pi*s take. I him to take it up with the dealer principal which he was loathe to do as he didn't want any drama. So I went in on his behalf and after much shoulder shrugging they agreed to fix and replace the tyre for free.

Just double check all the paperwork and make that everything has been done, ie service, MOT etc.

Thanks for the replys, after ringing and checking before I made the 85 mile round trip it was told the ml was a 1owner from new with full mb history and had had all it's aproved used checks,I arived early so I could look the car over before meeting the sales person/test drive etc.To say I was shocked on seeing the car is an under statement, there were more than6 large scratches(1 on each near side door that were deep,1below drivers door handle 6" long,1on offside lower door lighter but around a foot long,3 different ones and a large sticker mark on back bumper, front under guard scraped, offside front tyre on wear indicators, both rear tyres at 2mm),almost walked away then but thought I would see what the salesperson had to say,she was a nice enough girl and I said I had looked the car over and mentioned everything I had already noted to which she said the car hasn't had its checks yet and they would rectify them before any sale!,I asked to see the service history but was told it was at head office, off we went for the test drive,a quick scroll through the menu and it showed service b exceeded by 50 days!.As soon as I returned home(without any sale:D) I emailed the sales manager and explained all,his reply was that the car should have had the checks and all faults/service/tyres sorted before any viewings for sale(passing the buck) ,he. Then asked if I would come back and see the car after it had been through the workshop!Ireplied that I definitely would not be interested in the car and was shocked that a car in that condition would be offered for sale as aproved usedeven if the work had been carried out before-be careful people,I had a similar experience with mb slough a few years ago who are part of the same group(green oaks).
