I'm thinking of popping into MB World on Sunday to see what delights they have on show.

If anyone fancies meeting for coffee and a bun ........ usual car park location at 11:00 ish?

All welcome :)

Working I'm afraid Bryan. Catch up in the New Year, have a good one.

Good idea, sadly I'm taking a bunch of kids to see 'Paddington' though!

Sorry Bryan, can't make this one, - away on the other sides Xmas GTG at the Holt Hotel Nr Oxford.

Unfortunately I'll be nose to the grindstone all weekend as well, otherwise I'd be up for it. Next time..

Cheers,

Gaz

Still not happy with the rear suspension on mine. Suspect bushes, but ok on motorways. May consider a good run for it, if weather does not look too bad.
Not sure what usual car park is, as have never been there before.

We usually park here unless it's full of MB Brooklands stock, in which case it's a case of park where you can and look out for a group of shifty souls discussing the merits of an LSD or where to find an E55 with all the gizmos and a full service history :)

This maybe another option -

Certainly nearer to me, and looks like a lot of nice cars going.
Put name down anyway, but listed as 799 so need a few to drop out.
If I went anyway, what happens?. Just get put in another car park?
Do they have an allowance for too many? I do not have anything to print off and show, so is it just a turn up early, and you will get in anyway?

Neil

Apologies, as I fuelled up the BMW to come it developed a fuel tank leak so I canned the trip.

I love old cars!

No problem Charles, these things happen :) John and I put the world to rights over a cup of coffee and spent a fine couple of hours coming to terms with the fact that even a 'basic' car these days costs over £50k. The old ones might not start every time, or provide a challenge or two in terms reliability, but in real terms did they cost that much in their day?

Great to meet you Bryan and was good to chat about Mercs and places we have visited. Must admit seeing the prices of some of those cars means I wont be replacing the SL any time soon. Look forward to the next one when I hope there will be a few more attendees!!
