E55k AMG Sold / S211 E320 CDI I6 sold W212 E63 6.2 N/A saloon. S212 e250 cdi .
As above looking to have the MCT 7 speed box serviced. The car has just over 63k. The Box had full service back at 36k

Should I have this done now or wait untill I have put more mileage on the car.

What are the service intervals for the Mct. And what should I be looking to pay for a full service on the MCT Gearbox?

Cheers

Well not sure how relevant, just had my 7 speed on my 2008 e-class serviced. Fluid and filter change from a autobox specialist. £200

Looks like the first time it has been serviced as no previous receipts or service book when I brought the car. Has 98k on the clock.

That's seems a very fair price. I think your gearbox should have had a change before the 98k mark. I think yours is the 7 gtronic box. I had the 7g on my 350cls.

Apparently with the 7speed MCT box after the first gearbox service of 37k that's it no more services needed .

I think I will have mine down at the 30k intervals.

From memory the 7g box should be serviced every 4 years or 37,500 miles, which ever comes first. The later 7g+ box is 5 years or 70 k miles I think. Just take a look on the MB website

Incorrect answers above

The correct interval for the Mct box is once at 31k miles/3 years.

After the supposed 31k change how often after that?

What is the rough cost of an MCT Gearbox service?

£260.00 I have been quoted for a gearbox service on the 6.3 e63 Mct 7 speed.

I'm happy enough with that price. Going ahead and booking it in.

Other than removing and the oil pan and changing the oil and filter. Is there any other transmission parts that need draining or replacing on the MCT box at a service interval?

Thanks

Are you going to Olly's BOTG in May ? If so give Prestige a call as they do special deals on the day :) + you know it is being done correctly.

There is no torque converter to drain , but I guess it has a cooling circuit that will hold dirty oil just like the non MCT boxes do.

No Im not going in May. I've got a specialist lined up to do the job :thumb:

Yes I was aware there is no torque converter on the MCT. But like you have said the oil cooling system will hold the older oil. I'll make note to see if the auto box specialist flush this part of the system as well :thumb:

That is what I'm waiting for. Should just have turned over to 31k miles by then.

Regarding the MCT transmission service. After the oil and filter are changed. Would there be need of a software update on the gearbox?

Cheers
