Please, nobody take this the wrong way and think that I am trying to advertise on MBclub UK. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Are there any plans to expand the MBclub UK web site? What about a discount scheme for members from companies and suppliers willing to participate.

It is just an idea and I dont know how or if it could work but I would like to offer you guys a discount on any parts from my company that you might require for your cars. I am sure there are other companies who would also offer products and services at a discount.

If there are no plans to expand the site and members would like to keep it a commercial free area, I completely understand and please accept my apologies for mentioning it.

This has now become my favourite site, it is interesting, entertaining and informative. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Sounds like an interesting idea... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Well, I suppose this call is down to Koolvin/Shude, but I don't see the harm, of discounts to members. That's still different to advertising on the site and going commercial. Related threads could go in a new topic too I suppose.

I know V12 has a website for Mercman (not that I can ever view it, it crashes and burns every time).

What Company do you represent Jimmy? I may pay a visit!

Graham,

I run a motor factors in Kettering that specialises in braking components; discs, pads, shoes, calipers etc and we also manufacture ignition lead sets.

We mainly supply local garages and dealers and run a Smart car to do our local deliveries. A sister company supplies the same parts nationwide to mator factors.

As a bolt-on to our main business of brakes and ignition leads, we also stock Coopers filters, NGK spark plugs, batteries, wiper blades, timing belts, shock absorbers just about everything really.

Not many of our parts are genuine parts but are made to the same or higher standard. We only supply quality parts, particularly with brakes as they are a safety critical component of the car, I do like to sleep at night <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

We have a temporary website Express AutoParts where you can find contact details, just ask for James. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

James,

I'd be interested in your products if you don't mind selling to individuals rather than to the trade. It's unlikely you will make a fortune out of me, I'll just need parts for my car as and when. I'll let you know when I need something.

Yes I know Oundle, not far at all. We deliver to Corby and occasionally go to Thrapston.

We are happy to sell to anyone, and would be pleased to give you a good deal on anything you might want. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

We are planning to open a shop/trade counter in the next few months. 85% of our business is to garages but there is hopefully a good market for individuals who work on their own vehicles, and are keen to buy at trade prices. We are much cheaper than the big car shop with blue shops <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Seems reasonableto me - esp. as Jimmy has gone about it the right way - ie ask first and check for objections.
I've seen too many forums where people just barge in with a username of &quot;M&amp;D GERMAN CAR SPARES&quot; etc with no thought of asking first.

But hey - I'm just a newbie <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I could also add my company to the list of discount suppliers for mbclub, however it's not automotive related.

Members discount - seems like a cool idea to me.

I give it the nod aswell, not that I could offer to sell anything (except my body to buy Matts car <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> ).

Thats an awful lot of sales mate <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Not half as many if it was the &quot;old woman&quot; I was offering <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Seeing as the general reaction is a good one, I would like to offer all MB Club members our standard trade terms. This could mean savings of well over 60-70% or more off retail prices on many items.

We specialise in brakes and ignition lead sets although we stock many other items including, batteries, filters, spark plugs etc, and have access to just about everything that you could want for your car. Parts only, not accessories like radios, roof racks etc.

I can arrange nationwide, next day delivery at cost, typically £4-£6 for heavier items, £2-£3 for lighter orders.

Please contact me at Express AutoParts and mention MB Club.

James.

Perhaps we could have a new section for participating companies?

Trying to contact Maff. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh2.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I am trying to contact Maff about some web hosting for my own and some friends web sites. Can't send a message as inbox is full.

Maff can you e-mail or send me a pvt message, or can somebody contact him for me or send me his e-mail. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Cheers.

Hi Jimmy,

Just sent you a e-mail, hope you got it. I'll empty my PM inbox also!

Just incase anyone else is interested, Jimmy prompted me to do a deal and i've offered MBclub members 50MB webspace for 10 squid per year, including a new domain name. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>

Cheers, Matt.

Nice web-page.

Please don't take this as a harsh criticism, because it's not (especially as you are the host of our next GTG  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>  )

It's just you are sporting one of my pet hates and I can't stop my fingers from typing.  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

Why are you not using you domain name for your email?

example - [email protected]
or [email protected] instead of your Yahoo address?

I am sure with Poundhost you can forward your mail?

Advertise your address using your company name and have it forwarded to your Yahoo account and Configure your Mail Client (my money is on you using Outlook) to send via your Web Hosts SMTP server, so your mail looks like it has come from [email protected] too.

Like I say it is a pet hate of mine, hope I have given you an idea and not offended   <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

I agree with you 100%, just not got round to doing it yet. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wallbash.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bash:'>
