Mercedes ‘Artico Leather’ really isn’t…..

Many thanks you don’t have part number off hand do you- mine is black.
Thanks
Part is A205 910 69 03 but that is for the beige version, black will be slightly different but any Dealer will give you the part no correct to your car hth

Missed this. Assume you are on big commission here😉? Why, well:

Costs to me: part £270, fitting £96, 2 hrs of my time. Result brand new seat cushion, last for years all done for £366

Your ‘cheaper’ and ‘green’ alternatives:

Remove seat, ship to Manchester/Sheffield/Middlesbrough ££££££ who knows, no car until repaired seat shipped back🙁 £much more cost of my time £ much, much more
Or drive car to same, stay overnight(s) ££££ wait till fixed ££ many more not green carbon emissions cost of my time £ much, much more
Get back repaired seat cushion still >6 years old, likely to fail again cost of repair (not black) £200 ish

So with either option cost likely nearer £1k, just for a repair😶

Thanks all the same but am very happy with my lo cost/high quality and trusted solution👍
Huh? I gave two examples of local trimmers who can do a repair for a hundred quid, a quarter of your main dealer throw away and replace exercise.

Most people repair stuff rather than throw away and buy new.

? all hundreds of miles away from me, but I do appreciate your efforts

Never had a problem with the seats in any of mine. Most have been actual leather leather, though.

I think Donald Trump would fit nicely in a gimp suit as the perverted buttman in the Tarantino sequel
🤣
Probably fit the Buttman part to a T, but the mind not only boggles, but somersaults when come to thinking about what the rest of him is capable of........

Would Trump be the fu**ed one or the @rsefu**er in the sequel? 🤣🤣
He's like a tormentor who likes to hurt people. 👎

Good Christian that he is, I have no doubt he would much rather be a giver than a receiver.

(I now have a ghastly mental image that I may never be able to erase... )

I have wondered for a while what seat coverings my E220cdi has - any ideas? It is almost hard to the touch which makes me wonder if it is leather.

What upholstery does the datacard say the car has?

What upholstery does the datacard say the car has?
According the to data card -
820A Amaretta/Leather/Nappa/Semi aniline
821A Amaretta/Leather/Nappa/semi aniline - black/anth

I imagine that is the list for the seats/door trim etc? Not sure what Amaretta is?

I have a W205 on a 15 plate with the Stone Artico interior and the drivers seat now has the exact same tear in the drivers seat as the OP. It started out as a tiny hole in one corner but has now spread.

I have booked it into a vehicle upholsterer specialist for repair and just dropped it off. Their colour match is very good. They gave a quote for £225 + vat and I should be able to pick it up around 2pm this afternoon. They were recommended by MB Exeter. I will post photos of the completed job later.
