Hi, yesterday i bought a new merc as the old one was getting a bit shabby, and decided to go for a C240 sport, ive heared good things about it and i love the carbon fiber interior. But as i was driving it away from the dealer, i absoloutely made sure this time to make sure EVERYTHING worked, i pressed all the buttons to make sure everything was working. Everything was going well, until i stopped at a junction and decided to give the old girl a bit of welly, and i put my foot down, the engine revved to about 5000 but then the automatic gear box wont change gear and the whole car begins to shake the engine revs up then down and then up again. Now ive had this problem before with an old mercedes 230E and it was an ignition problem, but with this car once it gets past 5000 revs the engine like "gargles" and the whole body shakes, Could this also be an ignition problem, or something to do with the onboard computer?
