Great seats. When i was involved in a bullet proof co in the 80's they put them in Range Rovers back and front. Very comfortable,i drove one to Switzerland.

It says they fit W126, W124 and W201. Surely, these cars don't have interchangeable front seats do they? The W201 is a lot narrower inside than the W126.

My W201 has spotline seats and you sit on the whole seat area - and, no, I don't have the ass of an elephant . There's no room that I can imagine for the switches shown on these though. Or is there?

How much do you think it would cost to trim a pair of seats in grey leather?
I actually do want these seats but would have to add the price of re-trimming them to match my interior on top though.

You're looking at least £300 a seat for any sort of quality job.

The same thought passed my mind, these would look very good in the SEC but I find the standard seats so very comfortable.

I have fitted these same model seats in w124, w126 and w201 myself personally...so yes, it can be done. Not only me, but AMG did it too.

The only item that is changed between models is the adapter which bolts the Recaro seat to the original MB seat base. The adapters are different between the models, but the adapters are readily available.

I also have the same seats in my Widebody DOHC SEC.....there is no comparison between these Recaros and stock SEC seats ...the Recaros are just unreal, they hug you in place perfectly and that too in a DOHC SEC which has insane acceleration....my DOHC SEC has 340 bhp, a 3.27 GT differential, G-tech timed 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds !

Yes Rob they are definatly his, Ive sat in Talbir's 500E, and the seats are like brand new.
