hi im new to this looking for some help with e200 the problems are
no revs on cold start causing stalling in reverse
w/s switch doesnt work
no kickdown or cruise control
gearbox snatch when goin from P TO D OR R
and only changes gear at 2500 revs

but went over a bump the other day and all of a sudden everything started working but has since gone back to the way it was have had the car plugged in as was told the ecu not recieving any information from the gearbox so im thinking along the lines of a lose wiring issue can anyone help as nearest mercedes dealer is along way away lo thanks guys

Is the gearbox oil level ok?

Do you have a leak from the gearbox electrical plug? If so the gearbox oil can travel up the wiring loom and into the gearbox controller in the passenger footwell.

It needs some proper investigation really by an expert with a Star and that knows that model car well.

By your description I would be looking at AB electrical issue. This is not something I have seen before.

Oh and have a look at the air mass sensor. They can cause strange symptoms like this when they fault.

thanks gonna try the maf give it a clean but cant seem to find the gearbox electrical plug any ideas thanks
