Mercedes gets the wooden spoon for value!

Good. That should keep most of the Kia and Proton owners well away.

We ALL know most MB dealers are nothing more than local branches of the Bank of England.

Should hardly come as a surprise that the maker of the worlds bests cars doesn't come cheap at service time.

Does this survey also cover Aston, Ferrrari, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Zonda....etc.....etc....?

NO.

We are all aware of that. It the rides not the pocket if you want to be a Merc owner, else there will be lot of Mercs on the road. I used to have two loans just to get a new W202 back in 1997 moving from a Mondeo because of my wife nagging.

NO surprise. I rate the Renault dealer relatively high because I have low expectations from them in relation to cost and previous visits. I have a higher expectation from MB due to the cost and reputation so would probably mark more harshly in this sort of survey.

They are good cars -- but I wouldn't say that they are the world's best...sorry.

Whilst driving company cars ...never saw Aston, Ferrrari, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Zonda...on the list ...Merc BMW yes....wonder why??..lol

The S class has often been voted worlds best limo. Beating Rolls Royce, Bentley...........

Point taken however...............

Interesting, bearing in mind the recent Service and ServicePlus discussion.

Telegraph article said:
I've saved the simplest and most important piece of advice until last: you really can totally avoid the expense of routine garage work by negotiating hard when buying from a dealer and getting assurances, in writing, that your new car comes with at least three years worth of free servicing. It's the only way to go. Especially if you're buying a Merc!

I think that the first three years aren't the ones where you're worried by large bills!
