Mercedes GL420cdi

hi all.

the kids are getting too big for the 'occasional' seats in the boot of the E55, so am planning on replacing it with a GL420cdi...

anyone with first hand experience on reliability, running costs etc would be greatly appreciated.

also, any input on fitting a Brabus chip or similar to a cdi would also be appreciated.

the one i am looking it has almost £16K options going by the spec that mercedes printed for me when i gave them the chassis number

hi

did have a lookie through that thread, but it drifts a bit via ML, R- Class and even Porsche!

was hoping someone whom had specifically ran a GL420cdi would give me the lowdown on how it is / was....

not overly concerned on fuel and maintenance costs, more on how reliable and robust they are.

They have been know to have injectors go wrong which are £300 each misfiring / rough running

Also EGR valves go wrong putting the Engine Light on
