Mercedes Specialist Near Hyde Cheshire

Hi there!

This is my first post here. My wife's CLK200K has a blowy exhaust - sounds like it coming from the front somewhere. ALso I guess this has happened before to others so what would the cost be for replacing the front section and the the full ystem if that is required.

Can anyone recommend a specialist close to Hyde or Stockport in Manchester?

Hi Terry , and welcome to the forum ...

TBH how hot are you on using OEM parts ? If you like to use OEM , it will probably be fairly expensive ....

If you aren't too fussed , GSF or Eurocarparts all do good pattern systems, although some specialists (mine included ) will tell you to use nothing but OEM parts as apparently the pattern ones 'sound' different...

My exhaust is all pattern parts and i don't think it sounds any different.

Really , for an exhaust change , you may find its cheaper to source the parts yourself and just take them and the car to the local garage , not an indy , and just ask them to fit them ....

Not that far from you is Ian Walker at w124 works (although he works on all models , not just w124's , and is highly recommended by the members on here ) , according to the map , Stockport is 42 miles from his place ....
