Hi and welcome, the main thing to look for (as with most M-Bs of that era) is going to be rust I think.

Instead of Mk1, look/search for W208 which is the Model number for a CLK 97-02

+1,i've had a clk320(w208)cabriolet,very smooth,try putting clk320 in the search facility & most of your questions should be answered.
