Mercedes w140 coupe Amg spec

Looks lovely minus the chrome wheelarches.... which are the tell tale sign that this was for sale about 2-3 years back on the bay.....

Looks great imo - Will defintley turn heads

I rather like chrome wheel arches on some cars (yes, I know, I have no taste...), though not very much on that one. They might not be concealing rust; young blades of certain ethnic groups have been keen on them in the past, though not so much these days.

As a non-driveable 'barn find' it could well be a money pit, and it's not a good sign if the seller is extolling its potential for breaking... Strange, too, that the seller, who is obviously a very experienced eBay operative, only has four feedback.

With all that, it looks good in the pictures, so far as one can tell in that dim light. If I were looking for a W140 coupe, I'd definitely go and see it, but I'd take a ten-foot pole with me, just in case.

I'd steer well clear of this one; spotted it in a car park over a year ago and approached the owner who was running a used car dealership in the same location. he said i was more than welcome to have a look but made it clear it was not for sale and it was his project car. From what i saw the wiring was an absolute mess and the interior was half stripped.

After that i saw it at mercedes birmingham where one of the technicians told me it had come in on the back of a flatbed to have a diagnostic
Also saw the same car at a merc specialist about a month earlier

seems to me the seller has given up on it and I don't think anyone can figure out what is wrong with it.

Then again if i wanted one this would be the perfect donor car

Romany caravans , hoodies , flatbeds , shipping containers

All bad news when looking for a car to buy

^^^ My thoughts entirely ^^^

As above, you cant really get any more dodgy looking background than that!

The interior looks damp, I bet it smells of wet dog :)

Car has a major ECU problem and needs alot of work.

Car has been to us but Customer did not want to spend money to fix it!

Acid

Thanks for all the feedback fellas. Will give it a miss
