How easy is it to swap a 1x(cd) unit for a 6x(cd) in my 2013 car ? Are all the cables the same physically, so if I get the radio code for the radio unit it will all work ?, I have not purchased the 6(cd) unit yet, my facelift car connects to my phone, the internet great, but I still have a large cd collection that I listen to.

The question is whether the swap will require SCN coding. The Datacard has different codes for the single-CD unit and the 6-changer unit, but I don't know if this will actually stop the 6-changer functionality from working (you might not be able to control the changer from the instrument cluster, unless it's SCN coded).

And, of course, the maps won't work - you'll need a new PIN code for your VIN, though if you bought a maps update for your car at some point in the past, then you'll already have the code (as long as the version is matching).
