ive done a rough document in microsoft publisher 2007,ive set it out as an a4 size but want to make it fit an a5 size.when i change the page size i loose half of the document,is there a function to auto resize to fit the a5 size

cheers all

How are you changing the page size.? It should rescale if you use the print setup in the drop down.

Have you gone from A4 landscape to A5 portrait by mistake?
It's easily done as Publisher assumes you are working in portrait until you tell it otherwise.

Ive done the document in a4 portrait and want to go to a5 landscape so i can print 2 per sheet.

That's A6 portrait (for each document)!
If you have the page orientation set correctly the only way to do it is group all the objects in your A4 version and then resize.

When you select FILE > PRINT > PREFERENCES > LAYOUT (differs from application to application but i think its somewhere along those lines) you need to set the printer to print 2 pages per sheet (2/1) if that option is available.

If you start Publisher again you should be presented with the "Getting Started with ......." page.

Select 'Brochures' and then scroll down to 'Blank Sizes'. Put the pointer on A5 landscape and then select 'Duplicate...'
From there choose 'Folded Card' in Layout type, then 'Half page side fold' in Options (sheet fold)

Run it at 70% with cropmarks.

A5 to A4 = 141%
A4 to A3=141%

other way around it's 71% or thereabouts.
