A mate has just bought a 2004 CLK 320 and a potentially spendy problem has reared it`s ugly head already...
The Zenons flash off/on intermittantly;

It looks like the nearside is turning completely off/flickering which is affecting the offside which seems to burn brighter while the nearside malfunctions?

A little bit of research suggests it could be bulb/ballast/ignitor?

What`s the easiest way to fix this?
Would one of these kits plus a bulb work - looks like a minimum of taking apart stuff would be required with that kit?
Do you think that both sides need doing?

I would look for a bad earth/faulty ballast.
