ML63 AMG Tyres

Hi guys, I need new tyres for my 2007 (W164) ML63 AMG. Currently have Continental Cross Contacts but was thinking of changing to Michellin Latitude Sport 3. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

Bal - Sorry I missed ya call.... Michelins all day long if you can stretch to the cost, one the SL has eaten its Contis, its getting Michelins and the Coupe is already on Michelins.... Hope they sort your exhaust... My old ML63 sounded awesome.. Olly from PCS bought it from me...

Thanks for the tip G! Michelins it is then! Cheapest I've found is £203 each for the Latitude Sport 3 ..

Greg..on the topic of warranty.. I read that you had the tier 1 on your old ML63.. I'm just renewed my tier 1 on mine.. MB quoted me £1800 to renew.. big saving in my first year which cost over 3k!

Back then I thought it was a good idea, but i'm now older and wiser and 3rd party Warrantys are not worth the paper they are written on unless you have a very expensive Manufacturer one as you've just paid for. That being said I'd never pay that sort of money for something I'd hopefully rarely use.... I have a car slush fund as such just in case... but we all know Mercedes vehicles dont go wrong......

I had Continental Winter tyres on the same wheels as yours, and run them all year round for a few years. They were very impressive.

Michelin Latitude sport on my new 166 and I had them on my 164, same tyre.
Tyre leader or camskill.

Hi,

Looking to put the Latitude Sport 3 on my ML63. The Michelin website shows the 110 Y XL versions should be used.

Whenever I search sites selling them they show 106 Y versions (not XL)

Just wondered what others have fitted.

I always fit Pirelli Pzero summer tyres on ours with 21-inch wheels, and always run Continental winter tyres on 20-inch. Pzero generally get a poor reputation, but I've found the, to be very good on the ML63.

I've sent Michelin a message to ask why they recommend 110Y XL rather than 106Y for the ML63.
