Have you tried calling any of the Mercedes specialists in your area to see if they offer a mobile service?

Is there a particular reason why the mechanic has to be mobile? Surely the car could be towed or trailered to the workshop?

Done the specialist route, yes it could be towed or trailered but it could cost up to £50 and i would rather spend it on labour or parts if i needed to.

false economy, a mobile mechanic will cost more anyway and wont be able to work on your car comfortably.

whats wrong with the car?

Its not if you find a good one, when my dad had his 500 we had a fantastic mobile one he could do everything a workshop could do,had a press, all merc diagnostic equipment, welder, ect all in a LWB Hiroof sprinter with trailer full rigged out as he was a support van for a rally team, but was struck down with cancer a few years ago,but i do think we were lucky to find him.
As to whats wrong look at the tech page on the Owners club and you will see the problem

Depending on the job, try Paul White - you might be a bit far out for him, but if it's a day's work you never know. you can get him on email via paul at heliservices.co.uk (put relevant symbol in).
