I've been having half price MOT's from Bham Central for years now.

Straightforward, and it doesn't seem to be a tool for generating work (in my case at least).

Is yours at Solihull (part of the same group)?

Halfords Autocentre do them half price too. My local place is pretty good. Better than Kwikfit wouldnt go there.

£25 Dantom Auto's in Liverpool. It passed with advisory (rear brake binding, fixed myself, took it back, passed, no more fees).

Although since we've been sending my wife's golf there it's always had to go back for something or another. I feel it's too easy for garages to create work by simply shoving a screw driver into a rubber part or dislodging a pipe a little hoping it'll come loose and require work in a few weeks. Maybe I'm paranoid.

My SL got free MOTs from M-B Guildford from 2004 until last year, and it passed every time without a single advisory
