Hello there ,what You think about MTEC drilled brakes? I think I have to say something interested about my experience with this items

Have Mtec discs on two my cars grooved and crossdrilled, fantastic brakes and a fraction of dealer or other OEM prices for better performance. Just need to be careful which pads you put with them. I found green or yellow stuff poor and they squealed, Ferrodo DS2000 good but you needed to get heat into them to work, Currently using Pagid Pro which have been brilliant but I'm going to service the CLK next week and have a full set of Sparco Race pads ready to go in based on reports from others that have fitted these, not a bad word said.

I'm about to put MTEC Drilled and Grooved discs all round, with Mercedes OE pads (TRW marked).

Will that work OK (on an A200 W169 with 18" AMG type III alloys and sports suspension)?

I found the MB OE pads too soft and they created lots and lots of dust, nothing wrong with the stopping power but the dust issue was a nightmare

Thanks, that's good to know - as long as they work fine, and no squealing.

As to the brake dust - I'm going to refurb my alloys in matt dark anthracite ... that should help

I'm interested to see what I can get on my car as I'll be replacing both disks and pads front and rear, is Mtec the way to go?

Can I go to an Indy (I have Parkhams in mind) and ask them to order and fit whatever brakes I like? Or would I need to supply the items myself and have them fit it...

I'm just thinking of guarantee, I've supplied my own brakes before on other cars and have a garage fit them but the garage will say as they didn't supply the brakes then I wouldn't get a guarantee on the work

Have a surprise day off work today so I'm looking to take the opportunity to get the car booked in today for November
