My CLK320 Written off

Never thought that I'd create thread like this. Courtesy of on-the-mobile-typing-sms-on-a40 rocket scientist I'm currently without car. Darn 'environmental' truck just slamed into me as I was waiting at traffic lights.
Oh well, on the bright side his insurance offered generous settlement so in a market for W211 03 Avantgarde CDi, prefferably 270 but I think I can make my peace with 220 as well.
Any advice what to look for / avoid.

Someone I know picked up a W211 E270 CDI Elegance with good options except PTS/Command/bi xenons from an auction with 44000 miles, FMBSH for £16500. He had to spend £500 on car afterwards to get Rear Sam unit replaced by Stealership and apart from that car is all good. Wait until face lift is launches which will then hit the residual values of the current car.

I'd love to wait but ....

Universal salvage is picking my car up. Am going to see one on Saturday with panoramic roof . so fingers cross that the cars kosher.

Luckily I've hit a car in front too. Luckily cause wasn't wearing seat belt Oh well now I've learnt my lesson. Bit of back / neck pain but nothing to serious permanent ( he hopes ).

He said that I was injured (whiplash). Got to go to physio Oh well could of have been lot worse. (alwasy look on the bright side...) or should I say ; in rear view mirror.

Got comand and couple of bits out of the car today before they take it. Will post it later in clasifieds. Very sad seing your car messed up.

Make sure you give the Insurance company details of your injury....they should pay for as much physio as you need....and being private you can get it when it suits you.

Be careful, I suspect they won't cough up for injury if you weren't wearing your belt.
