Yes they look ok. No they look crap. I don't give a monkey's.

I think im liking them :dk:

Car needs a wash and polish I intend on doing it within the next few days.

I think they would benefit from a polished or silver rim to break them up a little.
These are my Matt black finish forgestar f14. I plan to have the original 5 twin spoke wheels refurbished in satin black with the silver edge rim.

I'm not decided on what finish I want the original wheels to have. I'm not a big fan of silver wheels personally. I like the Matt black look very much.

I’m a big fan of triple black but I think a graphite grey would look good so you can see a little bit more of the alloy design.

On the original twin spoke or the AM forgestar wheels?

Forgot to mention fitment was spot on. I posted on fitment a while ago. After a trial today, fitment seemed spot on.

On your new ones, the black ones.
Ok, they aren't new though lol but new to this car. They were on my previous 55 211.

I bought them brand new for the 55. I might have to get both sets refurbished now. Lol.

Gun metal grey which the twin spoke are I'm not a massive fan of. I think I will go either gloss or satin black with. The forgestar I like in there current finish.

I like black wheels as long as they have a silver lip. If not, I wouldn't have them.
You won't be having mine then lol.

I like with and without a silver lip.

With the forgestar, I like you can see the calipers and discs more. For me it also sits more aggressive and from looking at the rear the wheels sit slightly more out from the bottom of the valance.

The car is also more cushioned with the 18" over the 19" both non run flat tyres.

Not that you can see more of the calipers and the discs it's the different colour wheel against the discs and calipers that I actually like. The twin spoke wheels are in need of a good refurb.

I could always kerb the matt black wheels and create a lovely silver rimmed edge. Wouldn't cost much ;)

This is the all black look I'm liking.

Doesn't matter what design you put on if they are all black, can't see jack.

I can see plenty of caliper and disc with the forgestar wheels. And will do with the twin spoke refurbished also.

Have to be honest Tom I’m not keen on those wheels, your originals are the forged 19” AMG wheels which cost around £5.5k a set new. Have those refurbished and I reckon you might change your mind :)

But as always, it’s your car and what you like the look of that matters.

Make sure you only take those 19s to somewhere who will do a proper job on them, they should have a high sheen finish to the face and lips of the wheel and were finished in a Himalaya grey paint on the recesses. The AMG logo is engraved into the lips and has the colour applied before machining etc.

Thanks Will, really appreciate the info.

Thing is the original wheels are in quite bad condition, the previous owner had them finished in a gun metal colour. The AMG ingraving is nearly nonexistent, I'm unsure can the AMG logo be ingraved to be more visable.

The wheels you have shown above do look good I have to say.

As others have said, as long as you are happy with them that is what matters. Personally, I don't think either set do your car any justice at all, perhaps if there was more of a contrast in colour it would work better.
