Could some on eplease tell me where the Multi function relay that kicks the intermittent wipers on is located on the front SAM please>>>>>>>

I have a W203 220 cdi sports coupe

Ta dave

I believe you mean N10/1kL relay? That should be the one closest to you when you look at the SAM from the front of the car, and the one to the left (the square shaped).

I can't read the part number on this part.

Would anyone know the part number for the multi relay which controls the wipers on a 220 cd1 sports coupe

dave

Thought i had seen a reference to the N10 relay is it part of the CAN:o
had wee look - appears it applies to the 202,208 and 210
Not sure if this link helps-please disregard as appropriate

It is a bit different for your car, N10/1 is the whole front SAM. It is connected via CAN bus to other control units.

By the way, I think I picked up a wrong relay above, don't have the time to fix this now (EPC would give the part number too).

"Slot L" relay for "wiper speed 1/2" is supposed to be part number A0025421419 for a 203708 at least.

I had a look at the star finder and it was showing different info compared to WIS where the location is as I mentioned earlier.

Thank you Diesel Man, I managed to read this number on 1 of the 2 yellow relays I found in the front SAM, & I didn't know if I needed to change the yellow ones or the black one A002 542 13 19.

I thought we both are diesel men, probably many others here too. Never know though, some put nice ladies photos to their avatar but are men, I guess it could be the opposite too :) But Dieselman is pretty familiar from TV (for members as old as myself :o ) and his sex should be well proven.

There was something else I was about to say, the A002 542 13 19 relay is for slots E & F. Those should be at the rear SAM, is your car a 203.708?

The same relay A0025421419 should appear at the slot Q, wiper on/off relay. The yellow one to the front of the car should be the intermittent (1/2) speed relay. The black relay next to it is the circuit 15 relay.

By the way, don't you have a fuse diagram at one of the fuse boxes or at the "tool box"? It should include the relay assignment too.
