This is the first post that I have done without using the keyboard as I am dictating it using NaturallySpeaking 9 speech recognition software. So far I've seen to be getting on quite well with it but I wondered if anybody else is regularly using this software and has any useful tips or experience to share?

Anybody else understand what he is saying? Looks like gibbberish to me!:D :bannana:

Seriously Greg - looks very impressive. Only slip is "I've seen" instead of "I seem" which is understandable. I do voluntary work with the RNIB sometimes and as you can imagine, accurate text-to-speech is in some ways a big desire!

The biggest pain is have to wear the headset!

I've used the one in Windows...did a series of web lectures last year and needed to provide a transcript of the audio, so was able to do both at the same time. It gets better as you use it more, learning your nuances and patterns.

I don't use it day-to-day, but great for recording meeting notes, lecture notes and ranting emails!

I know someone who uses the system or similar on their works computer, he is registered blind and he says the system works well untill he uses words of similar sound totally different meaning. The one he refered to was pound, his computer wrote lb :D :D
