Hey guys. I recently bought a w203 2002 cdi. I had it looked at by my local mb specialist and they came up with all these advisories.

Is it worth me keeping the car or are these just wear and tear items that I shouldnt be too put off about. I will likely get something of similar age so is it expected?

Blimey !!

I suppose it depends on how much you paid for the car in the first place to be able to say whether it's worth spending money on.

Maybe getting a car checked out before purchasing might be a good idea next time?

To be fair to the car, most of that is normal wear/tear. It appears that the previous owner didn't keep the maintenance up to date. Was it cheap?

Once it's all put right it'll probably be a good car, but as the number of minor jobs has built up to quite a list as you can see, it'll probably cost you quite a few ££££ to put it all right.

1500 pounds. Not cheap. Really need to decide now whether I want to commit myself to getting the car right.

Well - it depends on how you look at it. £1500 for a diesel W203 is cheap. But cheap cars don't usually come without strings attached!

I guess what I'm saying is that you might have been better off spending more on a better car to start with, unless you can DIY the repairs etc :)

Most of that consists of very little labour time. And there are bits that really are not a necessity right now

I guess major problems are the snapped glow plug and torn bushings.
Others I can slowly sort out.
