I bought a genuine bonnet badge to replace my standing emblem. Now I don't have to worry about some little sh*t snapping mine off. The best bit is that I can swap them back again in a matter of seconds if need be.

Sorry Rungles, I'm not a fan. Anyway you should be spending your hard earned on making the car handle better or go faster, or both! ;)

It probably does go faster now due to the lower drag coefficient of the flat badge versus the upright star? Very slightly faster ;)

Rungles, how easy is it to swap star/flat badges?

Easy. Pair of my pliers and a twist to remove the star and then the badge just snaps in. It can be taken out again by pinching the mechanism and pushing out. Takes seconds.

I prefer the original proper star too but I'm constantly worried that someone's going to break it so this gives me peace of mind and is easy to swap back if needed.

Bit of a first-world problem I know but hey...

In ten years of driving mercs, I've never had one pinched. It will probably be missing in the morning now I've posted this !

A colleague at work had his 3 pointed star snapped off last week on his W211, he was raging but said he will leave it until he sells car....I just could not leave it like that.....either replace or do as you have and put the flat badge on!

Im after a flat badge for my C55, as im putting on a star grille from a CLK, can I ask where you got that badge from Rungles?

Thanks.
