New C350 Coupe AMG Sport Plus - Badges?

Hi all,

I have recently ordered a new C350 AMG Sport Plus that is due to go into production next month. I have added many options but I am torn on one and hope someone may be able to advise regarding the badges on the boot. Will they read "C350" on one side and "CGI" on the other? If not, what? I am considering whether to remove them or not.

hi this is a good question - when i had ordered my c250 i asked this and they werent sure as they was none out at the time - was not keen on the side 'sport badge' so in the end had it de badged - gone though the forum thread

and from all the coupes so far -even the c350 amg sports saloon they were all debadged too so seems to be a popular current choice!

Yeh I have looked at as many pics as I can bare and everyone seems to have de badged. That is the option I have selected anyway so I guess I will just leave it

CGI makes me think of computer gaphics - thats not cool.

Yesterday my missus asked me what the Mercedes badge CGI meant, I guessed at common-rail gasoline injection. Might actually have to look it up now...

Good choice btw, debadging is cool.

To be honest, it was another little example of the dealer not really knowing the answer to many of the questions I had. I'm guessing it is the curse of buying a new car that they haven't seen many of yet. I also found I knew more about COMAND Online than the whole of the dealership did, which was a little odd!!

I'm guessing it is the curse of buying a new car that they haven't seen many of yet. I also found I knew more about COMAND Online than the whole of the dealership did, which was a little odd!!

this is a problem! i was lucky went to a dealership in newcastle months ago and the didnt even know what i meant about when mentioned the amg sports plus - only until i went to sunderland did the guy know what i meant and showed me the computer screen with all the different specs and then i managed to order in time for first release

Even with the configurator down its been a nightmare for most buyers of this car to get accurate info!but as reassurance all including me have been very happy!get some pics up when it arrives!

To be fair, I have got a contact who works for MB (the digital department, dont get me (or him) started on the Car Configurator) and I got a load of info from one of his collegues who is the product manager for the C class. A touch unfair maybe but you'd expect new info to be passed to the dealers quicker given that they are effectively the face of MB!

Ive ordered a c250 cgi I believe than it just has the designation c250 on left side and nothing on the righ its only the diesels that also have cdi on right.

You know about COMAND Online? It is a deep mystery to me mate, utterly beyond my powers. And I can do tech and IT stuff! I stopped trying to work it out.

agreed that blue efficiency badge or these new 'sports' badges could have been much more stylish coming from designers at benz/amg

Haha I've spent literally weeks investigating with the help of a MB Telematcis Product guy.... It's a complex subject, that's for sure!
