And mot was done by dealers

An article warning of the dire health consequences of the removal of DPF's and that is why the Government has acted. If they are so worried about health issues then on that basis there should be a total ban on smoking! Dual standards methinks as they don't make money from DPF deletions.

As has been mentioned previously there is bound to soon be a market for "gutted" DPFs. When I removed the cats on my other car there was plenty of choice as to which way to go, i ended up with a ACT stainless system.

The car still passes emmissions tests, cats are all but useless in the UK (certainly older cats).

I'm glad I don't have a DPF, it's one less thing to go wrong..

The guy who did my engine remap did say he could easily map the DPF out (and remove it, if I'd had one) so that wouldn't have been a problem.

Good idea... it'll make my life easy when finding the next timbuktu rally vehicle :)
