Oh this is pretty, I don't normally like convertibles but this is so easy on the eye.

Front looks a little Maserati Like.

Having had another look at it, I can even see a little Aston Martin V8 Vantage in the Design also.

The trouble is, even if I could afford one of these lovely looking cars, I'd just look like a fat middle aged businessman having a mid life crisis.......

That is nice :) I agree about the AM/Masarati similarities too. I could see myself in one of those :D (Just need to start saving!)

Maybe its me, but I think it looks like an RX8?

I recall reading that it was originally going to be a Maserati project, but then was taken into the Ferrari fold to become a cheaper everyday Ferrari.

I think it's a great looker, there's pics in many of the current mags roof up and down. The folding hard roof will make it the first real competitor for the SL though and I reckon more likely to take SL63 sales than Aston.

Personally I'd not buy the Aston, I'd get the Ferrari if I wanted a weekend car (would not look right outside a client's premises, apart from being parked between the Carrera and the Conti at one of them) but an SL if I had to use it every day. Of course I'd really just like a chance...

the back end reminds me of the TVR T350c

Having messed around in it, it's a very nice car but i couldn't bring myself to buy a baby Ferrari.

Dino 2.

I really like it. The pictures I have seen of it are in red and IMO looks much better...

The smaller the Ferrari the thinner the passenger ?

I know of one such Marinello inspired owner who had a "NO FAT CHICKS" policy.

Its not really a "baby Ferrari". TG magazine IIRC (well I saw it in a major car magazine, either Car or TG). made out that it weas not the case, and that a top Ferrari man said there would be "no baby ferrari" and the California would retail for £160k. This is above a basic F430.

It was meant to be a more every day proposition. This is clear from its folding hard roof, engine that can go 12k/18k (can't remember which) miles without a service, engine thats tuned to give more torque than the unit in the F430, double clutch gear box that will offer much more smooth relaxing shifts.

Its not a real baby, and will compliment the 612 car as a "softer Ferrari".

It was said by the senior person @ Ferrari that the cheap way to Ferrari ownership won't be a "dino" car but a used model.

That's probably not what your avergae Ferrari owner is thinking, especially when you have the money to play with.

A Ferrari would and should never be an every day car.

So very true, unless of course your other car is a Veyron and then it might be :D
