Hi

For those interested in a transferable GPS System; Garmin is launching the Garmin Quest this month. It looks very neat indeed and is not a bad price.

Garmin Quest

Looks good. Very pleased to see everyone releasing a unit between 400 and 500 pounds. Making nav more affordable to the masses!

That looks a cracking little chappy. Could be a hubby chrissy pressie in the offing :D

No Pammy - I think your hubby would be more content with more proven technology with a slighly larger screen and bigger buttons. Something like the Garmin Street Pilot III.

I have one you can have.....................

in exchange for a Garmin Quest!! :D

This should have been posted in the electronics section, moving...

Why?

I thought General was for err General and Electronics was MB Electronics?

I swear the moderators move things just for the sake of it! Its like they are having a competition to see who can move the most threads.

Does look a smart looking unit, it will be interesting to see a review of the mapping/routing features, I'm sure pocketgps.co.uk oblige.

I followed up the first page of google hits - no reviews found, I guess the journalists only got their hands on them last month.

The "add on" GPS of choice in Australia is the NAVMAN iCN 630. Self contained, including antenna and speaker for voice prompts and only requires one lead to supply power. Very expensive though $1950 Australian.

Hi Joe

Yes that is a nice looking unit - and with postcode search facilitity. Pricewise I think it is par for the course considering the functionality.
