Should be nice for a passenger who idly puts their fingers through the aperture when the driver changes gear

If that were on an industrial machine it wouldn't be allowed.

At least you can get to the cables/unions to replace them, unlike my late V8 Esprit which as usual was a nightmare

Of course, this design has its downsides. However, good on Lotus for trying something unusual. I think it looks Fab. Reminds me a little of TVR's philosophy on interior quirkiness.

As already mentioned, would never be allowed in anything like public use. H&S would say a big No no. Maybe it'll be in Lotus T&C in the form of a disclosure.

Why's everyone so starchy and serious all the bleeding time! Health and safety this, boring that, cleanliness this... Zzzzzzzzzzzzz (oh sorry I fell asleep)

To the OP. Looks amazing, shame more cars don't come with design pieces like that :)

Hey cranky pants. Calm down, take ya pills.

hehe, I agree, it looks FAB. We were just saying that it's sad that H&S effects the design process so much.

Lol I'm still a skiving lazy bones. One of the partners said to me "have you sorted a new car yet?" Yes I have. " that's good you can do some bloody work now" :D

Hi,
If that were mine - I would enclose it with some special glass/Perspex then give it LED mood lighting at night!!
Cheers
Steve

What happens when a biro gets stuck in there just as you need to change gear?

I don't know many photocopier sales reps who drive a Lotus.
